Chinese Marketing Calendar of Quarter 1, Year 2023

January 2023

As many other cultures on earth, Chinese also celebrate January 1st as the start of a year, although this day is not as important as the Chinese New Year’s Day.

The real new year celebration starts from 21 January 2023. This day is Chinese New Year’s Eve (除夕 in Chinese) and marks the start of the Rabbit’s year.

February 2023

In February, Chinese people are still in holiday mode, as Chinese New Year is a 7 to 15 days (about 2 weeks) of celebration in a row, and there are different ceremonial activities on each of these days.

To many Chinese that live in remote or rural areas, the celebration won’t stop until the Lantern Festival, which is the 15th day of the new year according to the Chinese Calendar.
